Mrs. Beverly (Bev) Mercer

Special Services:
A time of reflection and celebrating Bev's life was was held on Monday May 25, 2009 a t the Hanlin Funeral Home. The Millington Rebekah Lodge conducted a Lodge Memorial that evening. The Mercer Family honored Bev's wishes and cremation followed.

Bev passed away Thursday mid-afternoon May 21, 2009 at her residence, Bev was 76.

Beverly A. Blake the daughter of the late Glen & Dorothy (McGinnis) Balke was born in Detroit Michigan on Dec. 7, 1932. On July 1st., 1950 Bev married Kenneth Mercer, and she and Ken have celebrated 58 years of marriage. Bev work for 35 years with the Turnstead Divison of General Motors retiring in 1991. Bev was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge of Millington for many years. Bev was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves her husband Ken, six children; Ronald & Jamie Mercer, Michael & Patricia Mercer, Ruthann & Jimmie Locklear, Keith & Melissa Mercer, Robert & Lynette Mercer, and Maryann Mercer. Bev also leaves several grandchildren,and many great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Besides her parents, Bev is also preceded in death by three sons John, Steve, and Kenneth Mercer Jr. a sister Ruth MeCormick, and a brother Rbert (Bob) Blake.
