Funeral services were held on Friday July 17, 2009 at the Millington Church of the Nazarene, with the burial following at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly Michigan. Pastor Eric Slade delivered the funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery. Military Honors were conducted by the Great Lakes National Cemetery Honor Guards.

| | | Ray passed away late Sunday evening July 12, 2009 at the Genesys Tender Care Nursing Home in Cass City Michigan, Ray was 88.
Ray is survived by his wife Mae, children, Kenneth & Connie, James & Shelly, Micheal & Marilyn, Barbara & Charlie, Diane & Derik, and Bonnie & Ed. He leaves also his grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the Millington Church of the Nazarene. Hanlin Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
