Mr. Walter (Walt) Mohr | Special Services: The burial will followed at the Watertown Twp. Cemetery in Fostoria Michigan. Pastor James Bruner delivered the funeral message and the committal prayers at the cemetery. Cemetery services will be concluded with Military Honors conducted by the Mayville - Vassar VFW. | | | Walt passed from our world into God's Kingdon early Monday evening August 24, 2009 while working the land. Walt was 79.
Walter H. Mohr the son of Henry & Louise (Boehner) Mohr was born in Sebewaing Michigan on December 19, 1929. Walt served our country during the Korean War in the US-Army 1st. Calvary. When he retuned home he married Miss Barbara Ward, and he and Barb have celebrated 52 years of marriage. Walt retired in 1981 from Chev. Truck Assembly in Flint after 30 years of employment. Even though Walt put his time in at GM, his real love was running his dairy farm. Which on the eve of his entering God's Kingdom Walt was cutting hay in one of his fields. Walt was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and at on time served as an Elder. Walt was also a member of the Mayville - Vassar VFW Post 10884. Walt leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Barb, four children, Paula & husband Joel Springer, Greg Mohr, Kevin Mohr, and Kathleen Kaiser. Eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Walt leaves also two brothers, Fred & Henry Mohr, and three sisters, Wilma Schultz, Ruth Mohr, and Grace Fox, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the Mohr family with the arrangements.
