Mrs. Elizabeth Palasty | Special Services: Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday October 27, 2009 at the St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church in Flushing MI. Fr. David Hannes delivered the Divine Liturgy and the committal prayers at the New Calvary Cemetery were Elizabeth was laid to rest.

| | | Elizabeth Palasty of Millington passed from our world into God’s Kingdom to be with her Lord late Tuesday evening October 20, 2009 with her family at her side, Elizabeth was 94.
Elizabeth Fucsko was born in Flint Michigan on June 18, 1915 and was the daughter of John & Mary (Lengyel) Fucsko. Before moving to Millington Elizabeth lived in the Flint area where she worked and raised her family. Elizabeth worked at the St. Joseph Hospital in Flint in the laundry department for many years.
Elizabeth was an avid Volunteer with the schools as a teacher’s aide, and in her church. She was an active member of the St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church in Flushing, of which she attended faithfully until illness won’t allow her to attend.
Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory her family, daughters, Elizabeth Sumner, Judith Crews (Edward), and James & Linda Palasty, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Elizabeth leaves also a sister Irene Garrett, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Elizabeth is preceded in death by two brothers John & Steve Fucsko, a sister Mary Gilbert, and a grandson Daniel Crews.
Friends may call at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Sunday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 PM, where there will be a Vigil Prayer Service (Panachida) at 7:30 Sunday evening at the funeral home. Divine Liturgy and the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday October 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church located at 2333 North Elms Rd. in Flushing MI. Rev. Fr. David Hannes will be officiating. Christian Burial will follow at the New Calvary Cemetery in Flint Michigan. Elizabeth will lie in state at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the services begin. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the McLaren Hospice.
