| Viva Marion (Reeves) Anderson, one of 11 children of Walter and Nellie (Parker) Reeves, was born October 7, 1926 at Table Rock, Nebraska. She attended Honey Creek School near Peru, Nebraska.
On April 3, 1946 Viva was united in marriage to Joseph L. Anderson at the Nemaha County Courthouse in Auburn, Nebraska. They made their home in Auburn, and six children were born to this union: Jo Anne, Dennis, Vince, Donna, Pamela, and Paul. Donna, Pamela, and Paul died in infancy. Viva’s top priority was raising her children and running her household, but she did work for a time at Campbell Soup Company in Tecumseh, Nebraska, and later at the Arbor Manor steak house in Auburn. Viva had been a member of the Methodist and then the Baptist churches in Auburn. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, cooking, and gardening. She also loved to draw, and was quite an accomplished artist. On Monday, September 28, 2009 Viva was rushed to the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn, where she passed away that day at the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 21 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Joe; children Donna, Pamela, and Paul; brothers Lloyd, Delbert, and Clinton; and sisters Beulah Williamson, Lillian Anderson, Pearl McMann, and Sylvia Hutton. Viva is survived by her children Jo Anne and husband Maurice Molleur of Vermont; Dennis and wife Kathy Anderson of Auburn; Vince and wife Julie Anderson of Elmwood; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-great-grandchildren; sisters Panzy Adams and Lula Mae Ruby, both of Auburn; brother Floyd and wife Shirley Reeves of Auburn; other relatives and many friends. | ||
