| Melvin “Mel” Little, age 90 of Auburn, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Good Samaritan Society-Auburn. He was born April 24, 1919 in Auburn, Nebraska. He was a WWII Army veteran.
Survivors include his step-daughter Constance and husband Charles Gerdes of Auburn; grandchildren Janet and husband Ron Fish of Pueblo, Colorado, Barb and husband Jim Barnhart of Salina, Kansas, Charlene Tribbett of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Sherman of Gilroy, California; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 15, 2:00 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home Chapel in Auburn. Burial will follow in the Sheridan Cemetery at Auburn. Military Honors provided by American Legion Post #23 and VFW Post #2635 of Auburn. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with family greeting friends from 7 to 8. Memorials in lieu of flowers suggested to AseraCare Hospice. | ||
