| Robert Junior Chubick, one of four children of Alfred M. and Donna Rae (Lawson) Chubick, was born January 19, 1958 in Red Oak, Iowa. Bob graduated from high school in Sidney, Iowa in 1976, and served a short term with the U.S. Army following graduation.
Bob lived the majority of his life in southwest Iowa and southeast Nebraska. He worked as a carpenter and as a painter on construction jobs in these areas all of his life. In his spare time Bob loved working on motorcycles and riding his Triumph motorcycle. He also enjoyed to garden. On July 4, 2012, Bob was found deceased at his home in Herman, having reached the age of 54 years, 5 months, and 15 days. His father, step-dad Ross Scott, and niece Angie Rumery preceded him in death. Surviving are his mother Donna Scott of Sidney, IA; sister Patty and Gary Johnson of Adams, NE; sister Janice Starner of Nebraska City; brother Jerry and wife Dee Chubick of Auburn; other relatives and friends. Memorial services were Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn, officiated by Pastor Larry Tolen. Serving as Honorary Urnbearers were nephews Chris Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Josh Johnson, Chad Frakes, Michael Frakes, and Alex Chubick. Burial of ashes will follow at a later date in Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. | ||
