Doris was one of the most amazing people I've ever known! When I first met her she was giving up her car and the independence that goes along with it, due to her failing eyes. That was hard, but she was one tough lady. We became such good friends. My husband and I had a most memorable Thanksgiving dinner with Doris and her sister, Inez, a few years ago. We will miss her always! | From: Jeannette Bausch 11/23/2010 10:29 PM

I worked for and with Doris for many, many years,
she was my supervisor for quite a number of years
and I work with her for many years also. She was
quite the lady, always very proper but quite fun
also. Years after she retired, a friend, who also
worked with both of us & I would go over to her house
w/ pizza, Doris supplying the beverage, and we'd
had great "girl talks". Doris & I exchanged Christ
mas cards for many yrs. I'll miss her, she was
a super lady. | From: Pat Duff 11/20/2010 02:28 PM

Doris was a great lady and neighbor both in Auburn and for many years in Lincoln.I still remember the warm loaves of bread during the holidays she would bring to our house as a neighborly thing. Thank you to her for the many memories! Thank you for being a great lady and neighbor! Scott,Clayton, and Ken TenHulzen | From: Scott TenHulzen 11/19/2010 11:08 PM

Doris was our laboratory supervisor for many years at Lincoln General Hospital. She was quite a character. Those who worked with her still recount "Doris Dovel" stories. Her focus was always on optimal patient care. Although Doris is no longer with us, memories will live on in the hearts and minds of the many who worked with her. | From: John Casey MD 11/18/2010 11:08 AM
