Thelma P. (Houze) Graham, 85, of Point Marion, Pa, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, with her loving family by her side. Born in Point Marion on Nov. 17, 1927, she was a daughter of Noel J. and Pearl (Kincaid) Houze.

A faithful member of the Point Marion United Methodist Church, she was a 1945 graduate of Point Marion High School. She served many years on the All School Reunion Committee, and was a member of the DAR.

Thelma was a woman of simple needs and few desires. She stressed the importance of loving each other and placing family first. Thelma treated everyone she met as family. Through the toughest times, she maintained the strength that bound her family together. Her unconditional love and smile will be sorely missed by all who loved her.

Deceased are her parents; her husband, Marshall C. Graham, Jr. on June 1, 2004; three sisters, Noelene Packrone, Ruth Houze and Marie Rodgers; a grandson, Cody Browning, and a great-granddaughter, Callie Sullenberger.

Thelma’s life will be remembered and celebrated by her children and their spouses, Marsha and Lambert Howell of Montrose, CO, Mark and Diane Graham of Point Marion, M. Keith and Kathy Graham of Indian Head, Pa., Bruce and Ruth Graham of Smithfield, Pa., Scott E. and Denise Graham of Gallatin, Pa., and Ruth and Brian Eichelberger and Julie and Richard Powell, all of Point Marion; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Wilson and husband Woodrow of Charleroix, Michigan; and a brother, Noel Houze and wife Vera of Point Marion.

Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Wednesday from 7 – 9 PM, Thursday 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM, and Friday, Jan. 18th in the Point Marion United Methodist Church, 500 Morgantown St, Point Marion, from 10 until the 11:00 AM hour of service with Rev. Jay Polowsky officiating. Interment follows in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
