| | | Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Norine Alam, 93, a resident of Davenport will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 916 E. Rusholme, Davenport. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be in the Gathering Space Friday at the church from 9:45 a.m. until the time of the service.
Mrs. Alam died on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, in Davenport.
Norine Korey was born April 21, 1916 in Davenport a daughter of George and Mary (Allam) Korey. She was united in marriage to Kayed “Frenchy” Alam on September 10, 1961 in Denver, Colorado. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1986.
In earlier years Norine had been employed at the former Louis Hanson Hardware.
Survivors include her sister, Josephine Korey, of Davenport; and nieces, Mary Korey, Davenport and Barbara (Mrs. Joseph) Butler, Cedar Falls, Iowa; as well as several grand nieces and grand nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, brothers, Joseph and Moses Korey; a sister, Monera Williams; two nephews and a niece also preceded her in death.
