| | | Clell Castleman, age 88, of Manila, died Monday at his home. Born at Bay, Arkansas he was the son of the late J.E. and Inez Behmy Castleman and had lived most of his life in Manila. He spent 20 years in Michigan and retired from General Motors. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Castleman served many years on the Manila Cemetery Association Board, was a member of the Manila Lions Club and the American Legion Herman Davis Post # 197. He had been a member of the Westside Baptist Church since 1975. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Della Williams Castleman, a step-son, James Carroll Hill, and 3 brothers.
He is survived by 2 brothers;
Ell Castleman of Moore, Oklahoma and Gaylon Castleman of California
Funeral service will be 3pm Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Troy Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Fields, Gene Dobbins, Charles Quinn, Lonnie Wright, Sonny Ashley, and Bob Farmer. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 1pm until service time at the funeral home.
