| | | Vivian Valerie Still Oglesby, age 88, of Flint, Michigan, formerly of Manila, died Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Maple Woods Manor in Flint, Michigan. Born in Como, Missouri she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Bennett Still. She was the widow of Mr. Everett Oglesby who preceded her in death in 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Flint. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a grandson Shawn Oglesby, 3 sisters, Marie Ingram, Bessie Hardy and Wanda Rodgers. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Gerald Still, a sister-in-law Charlene Still, her nephews Mark Hardy and Charles Boling, a cousin Ralph Bennett and two dear friends, Ann Oates and Gerald Bone.
She is survived by:

Gerald Oglesby and his wife Anita of Covert, Michigan
William Oglesby of Flint, Michigan
1 Grandaughter:
Melanie Mata and her husband Ed of Davison, Michigan
2 Brothers:
Elton Still and wife Minnie of Manila
Clifford Still and wife Sue of Denmark, AR
1 Sister:
Naomi Adams and husband Victor of Eau Claire, Mi
1 Sister-in-law:
Jean Still of Watervliet, MI
Mrs. Oglesby also leaves 2 great-grandchildren, Eddie and Nichols Mata, several nieces, nephews and friends who she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors Sunday evening from 5:30 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
