| | | Charles Clifton McCoy, Sr., age 72, of Monette died Thursday at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. Born at Childress, he was the son of the late Jack and Dollie Conner McCoy and had been a longtime Monette resident. He was a retired cotton ginner with Kiech-Shauver-Miller Gin Company, was a charter member of the Leachville Second Baptist Church, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 558 in Monette. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death b;y his wife of 49 years, Betty McCoy in 2005, a daughter, Susan McCoy, and a son, Michael McCoy.

He also leaves 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren
Funeral Service will be 2pm Sunday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Russell Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Saturday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
