Sam Wesley Hutton, age 80, of Manila, died Saturday at UAMS in Little Rock. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Arnold and Helen Hamm Hutton and had been a Manila resident most of his life. He was a retired farmer and commercial fisherman. Sammy enjoyed having friends and family visit with him and was famous for his fish fry's as well as his big 4th of July barbecue. As a teenager, he and his mother sang on radio programs and they won several talent contest. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Manila.

His wife, Jerry Gibson Hutton of Manila

4 Sons:
Sam Hutton Jr. of Manila
Larry Dodd of Manila
Kenny Roundtree of Ft. Worth, Tx
Wess Hutton of Lake Charles, LA

1 Daughter:
Tammy Spence of Paragould

He also leaves 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren

Funeral Services will be 2PM Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with the Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Tuesday evening from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home.
