| | | Jimmy Dale Brooks, age 70, of Manila, died Monday at his home. Born at Manila he was the son of the late C.J. and Zephyr May Thomas Brooks and had been a lifelong Manila resident. He was a retired production manager for the former Gurdon Industries in Manila and American General Life Insurance Company. He currently owned and operated Brooks Bail Bonds Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was also a member of the Manila Masonic Lodge #588.
He is survived by:
His wife, Mrs. Peggy Bowman Brooks of the home
His son, Jimmy L. Brooks of Manila
His daughter, Shelly Henderson of Manila
2 brothers:
Donnie Brooks and Carl Brooks both of Manila
1 sister, Patsy Pannell of Blytheville
He also leaves 2 grandchildren:
Jennifer Miller and Tucker Miller
Funeral Services will be 11AM Thursday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 6 until 8:30 at the funeral home. Serving as active pallbearers will be Bill Yarbro, Jason Yarbro, James Skinner, Howard Norvell, Kelly Fields and Larry Williams
