| | | William Darrell Johnson, age 61, of Leachville, died Tuesday at his home. Born at Manila he was the son of the late R. V. and Ada Southern Johnson and had been a Manila and Leachville area resident for most of his life. Darrell was a graduate of Manila High School and was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He later graduated from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy and had served on the Manila and Leachville Police Departments. He also owned and operated Darrell Johnson Sales and Overland Transport Company. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Curtis Johnson of the home.

Darrell also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 2pm Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Robert White officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday evening from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Larry Williams, Preston Williams, Monty Sanders, Tony Crowell, Brian Crites and Jackie Hill.
