| | | SEYMOR, CT: Marguerite Mary “Babe” Beaton, age 90 of Peach Drive, entered into peaceful rest November 12, 2003 at her home; she was the beloved wife of the late George B. Beaton, Sr. Mrs. Beaton was born December 22, 1912 in Ansonia, daughter of the late John N., and Mary B. (Meade) Browne. She was a Seymour resident since 1954, formerly of Shelton. Marguerite was a retired waitress for more than twenty years at the Oxford House Restaurant in Oxford, and she previously owned and operated the former Babe’s Coffee Shop in Ansonia. Mrs. Beaton was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour.
Marguerite leaves her loving family including two sons, George B. Beaton and his wife Linda of Oxford, and John “Jack” Beaton of Seymour, three daughters, Joan B. Holob and her husband Frank of St. Augustine, FL, Barbara Leonard and her husband Robert of Chander, TX, and Mary Jane Snodgrass and her husband Charles of Ridgedale, MO, fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two sons-in-law, James Pascarelli of Seymour, and Ralph Vaccaro of Derby.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour to the Church of the Good Shepherd where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
