OXFORD, CT: Constantine S. “Gus” Cargos, age 80 of Old State Road No.1 entered into peaceful rest November 4th at the Griffin Hospital, Derby. Mr. Cargos was born August 16, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Savas and Cleopatra (Genetos) Cargos. He was an Oxford resident since 1948, was a retired self employed poultry farmer, and surveyor. Gus was a WW II US Army Veteran, serving with the 44th Infantry Division. Mr. Cargos was a communicant of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Ansonia. He graduated in 1951 from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree; he also attended Yale University.

Constantine leaves his beloved sister Sophie cargos of Oxford, and several loving nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and nephews. His brothers, John and Agapios predeceased him.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 2 Hubbell Avenue, Ansonia for a funeral liturgy at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Memorial gifts may be sent to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
