WATERBURY, CT: Brian William Berthold, age 24 of Pearl Lake Road, formerly of Oxford, entered into peaceful rest April 17, 2005 in Waterbury. He was born April 30, 1980 in Bridgeport, beloved son of Gery J. Berthold of Naugatuck, and Judy L. (Sophy) and step-father, Edward J. Connell of Oxford. Brian was employed as an automobile mechanic for Tom’s Foreign Auto, Waterbury. As a youth, Brian played with the Oxford Travel Soccer Team, also basketball, and baseball; he attended Oxford Schools, and Platt Technical High School, and following that he graduated from Seymour High School, Class of 1998. He had attended Naugatuck Valley Community Colege. Brian’s passion was working on automobiles; he enjoyed riding moto-cross motorcycles, and had a genuine love of animals, especially his dog, Jasper.

In addition to his parents, Brian leaves his loving family including his sister, Brooke Ann Berthold of Oxford, the love of his life, Rhiannon E. Hill of Waterbury, grandparents, Ann and George Sophy of Southbury, and William Berthold of Stratford, also several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Oxford Congregational Church, 3 Academy Road, Oxford. Interment will be in Southford Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Oxford Congregational Church.
