| | | SEYMOUR, CT: Richard “Dick” Gordon Ashe, age 87 of Huffman TX, a former longtime Seymour resident entered into peaceful rest November 9th in Huffman; he was also a former resident of Johnson, VT. ; he was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Carusone) Ashe. Mr. Ashe was born August 22, 1918 in Naugatuck son of the late Adolphus and Emma (Shortsleeves) Ashe. Richard was retired from the Town of Seymour, Street Department, and also from the former Brass rail Restaurant in Seymour; he also was a former coach for Seymour Little league.
Besides his wife he leaves his loving family including, a son, Brian Ashe and his wife Anita of Oxford, three daughters, Judie Cotnoir of Johnson, VT, Rae-Lynn Elasko of Huffman, TX, and Robin Pemberton and her husband Chris of Terryville, a brother, Earle Ashe of Naugatuck, fourteen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by eight siblings.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Richard’s life will be held Saturday, November 19th at 1:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call at the funeral home also on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
