| | | SEYMOUR, CT: Irene Budnik, age 72 of Smith Street, entered into peaceful rest December 10th, she was the beloved wife of forty nine years to Joseph Budnik. Mrs. Budnik was born October 12, 1933 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late William and Mary (Selepes) Selepec. She was a communicant of the Three Saints Orthodox Church, Ansonia for fifty years, and a Seymour resident for more than forty years. She was an Associate Real Estate Agent with the Edgewood Realty Company of Seymour. Her hobbies included reading and a love of animals. Irene will most be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Budnik leaves her loving family including two sons, Robert Budnik and his wife Sheri of Prospect, Daniel Budnik and his wife Kate of Southington, two daughters, Eileen Sztuka and her husband Edward of Duluth, GA, and Ellen Reichelt and her husband Kevin of Seymour, a brother, George Selepec and his wife Carole of Orange, CA, a sister-in-law, Beranger Selepec of Huntington, and six cherished grandchildren. Her brother William Selepec predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to Three Saints Orthodox Church for a service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Parastas Service being held at 7:00 p.m. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Renovation Fund of Three Saints Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia, CT 06401.
