BEACON FALLS, CT: Michael D. Careddu, Sr. age 84 entered into peaceful rest January 3rd, he was the beloved husband of Marie (Sember) Careddu. Michael was born December 24, 1921 in Bridgeport, son of the late John and Josephine (Cerasi) Careddu. He was a lifetime resident at 25 Melville Avenue, Stratford before moving to Beacon Falls six months ago. Mr. Careddu was a WW II US Army Veteran, and a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the First District Improvement Club of Stratford, and the Schwabben Club of Bridgeport; Michael was an avid golfer, and loved the game.
Besides his wife Michael leaves his loving family including, two sons, Alan Careddu and his fiancé Anita Alarcon of Beacon Falls, and Thomas Careddu and his wife Tina of Oxford, a daughter, Susan Boss and her husband James of Stratford, a brother, John Careddu and his wife Kathy of New York, NY, a daughter-in-law Monique Careddu, Casco, ME., eleven grandchildren, Mark Boss, James Boss, Patty Careddu, Dominique Careddu, Rachel Careddu, Danielle Careddu, Gabrielle Careddu, Crystal Careddu, Denise Yousuf, Kenneth Careddu, and James Careddu, three great grandchildren, a nephew, Brian Gentile, Sr., and a niece Barbara Pacific. His son, Michael Careddu, Jr. and his sister Mary Gentile predeceased him.
