| | | Oxford, Edwin Eric Arsan, Sr. 74, entered into peaceful rest March 15th at his home. Mr. Arsan was the widower of Jeanette Mary (Hutt) Arsan. He was born May 3, 1931 in Seymour, son of the late Allan and Frances (Anderson) Arson. Eric was a lifelong resident of Oxford and attended Seymour Schools. He was owner and operator of Arsan & Son Refuse of Oxford for thirty seven years and worked for Pomperaug Woods in Southbury on building and maintenance for fourteen years. Eric was a social member of the Riverside Fire Dept. of Oxford. His hobbies included fishing, claming, going to beaches and Mohegan Sun Casino.
He leaves his loving family, son, E. Eric Arsan, Jr of Oxford, two daughters, Nancy Ainsworth of Oxford and Bonnie Alvelo of Ansonia. Four grandchildren, Amanda, Holly and Eric Arsan, III and Adam Avelo. He was pre-deceased by a brother Allan Arsan and a sister Corrine Chojnowski.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:00am at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour. Burial will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
