Seymour, Ct Evelyn W. Carney, 65 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest June 15th at her home. She was born in Derby, Oct. 20, 1940 daughter of Nina Gregory Weislogel Skalsky and the late Edward R. Weislogel. Evelyn was a lifelong valley resident and was retired from Budwitz and Meyer Jack formally of Seymour, where she worked in bookkeeping. She also worked in child care through out the valley. Evelyn was a member of the Seymour United Methodist Church. Her hobbies were caring for and rescuing animals, painting group at Seymour United Methodist Church painting landscapes and working with organizations for environmental protection. Besides her mother of Seymour, she leaves a son, Joseph C. Carney, Jr. of Seymour a daughter, Susan Clark of Cedar Hill, Tx. a sister, Kathryn Weisolgel Hausen of Durham. Two grandsons, Jason Michael and Joel Christopher Carney. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10:00am at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St. Seymour. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00pm with a Parastas Service at 7:00pm. Memorial gifts can be made to Animal Rescue in care of the funeral home.
