| | | SEYMOUR, CT: Dorothy (Carusone) Ashe age 83 of Huffman, TX formerly of Seymour, and Johnson, VT entered into peaceful rest July 24th in Huffman; she was the beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick” Ashe. Dorothy was born in Norwalk, CT on August 18, 1922, although she was raised by her grandparents, the late Pasqualina and Dominic Carusone, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna (Schofield) Carusone. Dorothy’s passion was her love of gardening and especially flowers; she enjoyed numerous crafts including needlepoint, knitting, and crocheting. She had a love of nature and enjoyed walks in the woods and bird observation. Of particular importance to Dorothy was the recent celebration of her Aunt Elizabeth Carusone’s 100th birthday on July 7, 2006.
She leaves her loving family including a son, Brian R. Ashe and his wife Anita of Oxford, three daughters, Judie Cotnoir of Johnson, VT, Rae-Lynn Elasko and her husband George of Huffman, TX, and Robin Pemberton and her husband Chris of Terryville, a sister Judy Wooden of Naugatuck, also fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held Saturday August 5th at 1:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. just prior to the services.
