| | | SEYMOUR, CT: Robert “Bob” Baker, age 48 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest May 4th in Hartford. He was born October 23, 1958 in Derby, son of the late James and Dorothy (Mitton) Baker. Robert was a lifelong Seymour resident, and a member of the Seymour Congregational Church. He was employed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Children Services as a cook at High Meadows in Hamden. Mr. Baker enjoyed volunteering especially for the Girls Little League Softball of Wallingford, and the Housatonic Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Robert leaves his loving family including his daughter, Sarah Madeline Turco of Wallingford, his brother, Missionary James B. Baker of Santiago Nueva Leone, Mexico, two sisters, Virginia Cormack of Ansonia, and Elizabeth “Betty” Baker of Seymour, also several nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. His Brother, Eugene M. Baker predeceased him.
Funeral services in celebration of Bob’s life will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Seymour Congregational Church, 15 Broad Street, Seymour. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
