DOYNE MAURICE WEBB Doyne Webb, 82 of Rector passed from this life on August 30, 2009 at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Doyne was born June 7, 1927 to the late Daniel and Grace (Parham)Webb in Clay County. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Doyne was not only an embalmer/funeral director but in earlier days an ambulance driver for Irby Funeral Home and he was an insurance salesman for Mutual of Omaha for many years. In his later years he was a devoted employee of Glen Sain GMC Sales. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Bryce and Joe Webb. Doyne is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Dortha Webb, a son and his wife: David Neil and Tracy Webb of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, one brother: Kenneth and Alma Webb of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Louise McCord of St. Louis. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Rector with Brother Ardell Polk officiating. Interment will be at the Woodland Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Rector or the Rector Community Center.
