Clinton Austin Fankhauser, age 15, of Washington died Wednesday July 15, 2009 in Columbus Junction.

Services will be held 10:30 am Saturday July 18, 2009 at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm Friday at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 Friday evening. A general memorial has been established. Clinton was born February 16, 1994 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Christy and Brandon Chance. He was a student at the Washington Junior High School. Clinton enjoyed skateboarding, football, his friends, and playing his Play Station 3.

He is survived by his parents, Christy and Brandon Chance of Washington, Iowa; father and step mother Edgar and Eva Gutierrez of Washington, Iowa; siblings Andi Cupps, Jenna, Emily and Ethan Chance of Washington, Iowa; Edgar Jr., Stephanie, and Mackenzie Gutierrez of Washington, Iowa; grandparents Shelby and Jerry Cupps of Columbus City, Iowa; Duane and Dianna Chance of Washington, Iowa; Flora Zanger of Washington, Iowa; Bonnie Wheeler of Columbus Junction; and several aunts and uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Weaver; an aunt, Melinda Chance; and his great grandmother, Velma Cline.
