| | | Terry L. York, 54, of Washington died Tuesday July 28, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital in Washington following a brief illness.
Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 am Saturday August 1, 2009 at Marr Park in Ainsworth. The family will receive friends following the service. A general memorial has been established.
Terry was born on August 7, 1954 in Washington, Iowa to Oral Laverne and L. Maxine (Shaffer) York. He attended school in Washington and Nevada. On April 24, 1981 Terry was united in marriage to Tammy MacIntosh. He lived in Washington for the past eighteen years. Before moving to Washington, Terry worked for Eagle Pitcher Mining in Nevada. He enjoyed NASCAR, racing stock cars, and working on cars and fixing them up.
Terry is survived by his two sons, Jesse York of Washington; Jared York of Washington; four grandchildren; brothers, Ronald York of Davenport; Gary York of Washington; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter, Rylie York
