| | | Jeffrey W. Hoskinson, age 52, of Washington formerly of Rittman, Ohio died Sunday September 13, 2009 at his home following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday September 15, 2009 where the family will receive friends at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday September 19, 2009 where the family will receive friends at the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at the Rittman Cemetery in Rittman. Memorials may be direct to American Cancer Society. Jeff was born on June 27, 1957 in Rittman, Ohio the son of Vernon (Vern) and Janet Ann (Ruhlen) Hoskinson. He graduated from Rittman High School and attended Miami University at Oxford. In his earlier years Jeff was a member of the Summit Athletic Club in Ohio. Jeff was previously married to Joy Skraba in Rittman, Ohio. Jeff worked as a mechanic and as a landscaper. He moved to Washington two and half years ago to care for his father. He enjoyed restoring his 1941 Ford, working in the yard, and listening to music, especially Bruce Springsteen.
Jeff is survived by his daughter, Rachel Hoskinson of Akron, Ohio; son, Bill Hoskinson of Wooster, Ohio; three grandchildren, Olivia, Michael, and Karlee; his father, Vern Hoskinson of Washington, Iowa; brother, David Hoskinson of Washington, Iowa; sister, Lauren and husband David Powers of Washington, Iowa; and six nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by mother, Janet Hoskinson in 2001; and his grandparents.
