The Jones Eden Funeral home has upheld a proud heritage in the Washington Community for over 100 years. Charles Miller a wagon maker started the funeral home in 1875. Our present facility was built in 1914 and was the first building west of the Mississippi constructed solely for use as a funeral home. The facility has been continuously remodeled and updated to meet the needs of families in Southeast Iowa. A unique feature of our funeral home is our in-door parking facility. This facility came about in 1959 when the historic Fox Theater was converted into a lobby and family parking area. In 1997 the Jones Funeral Home merged with the Eden Funeral Home. This partnership has succeeded in maintaining the high standards of excellence families have come to expect.
