Pat was my neighbor here at the condo, and I just learned of her death today, almost 2 months later. She passed away while I was on a vacation, and I thought it was strange to not have seen her in a while. I would see her out walking each day, and she always spoke to my two dogs by name. I did not realize she had Iowa connections (I was born and raised in Iowa, and my family is all still there). She was a very nice lady, and I'm sorry for your loss. | From: Wray Ludington 11/30/2011 05:33 PM

Pat was such a wonderful, talented person. I went to high school and college with her. We were both journalists. But I lost track of her.
She is now back in Iowa, where I want to be some day.
God bless her soul and her family.

Sooo many years since I have seen you. We graduated together, worked on the O and B together and went to the Iowa J-School together. You achieved so much in your life. It is so fitting that you have come back to Iowa for your resting place.
good bless you and your family. | From: Doug Hirsch 10/06/2011 09:44 PM

What a beautiful and amazing story. I knew Pat had done much, but wasn't aware of it all. I am so glad to know it. Pat isn't the only good writer in the family, either!
Thinking of you and wishing you God's blessings.
