| | | Evelyn K. Deck Calvert, age 65, of Waterloo, died Friday, April 17, 2009 at
Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo.
She was born January 4, 1944 in Waterloo, the daughter of Hank and Xene
(Swanson) Niedert. She was united in marriage with James E. Calvert on May
12, 2007 in Cedar Falls.
Evelyn was the resident manager at Fox Meadows Apartments in Evansdale for
seven years.
Survivors include her husband, James, of Waterloo; a daughter, Nicole Deck
Watts (Paulie Murr) of Cedar Falls; three sons, Michael Deck of Waterloo,
Tim (Brandy) Deck of Ward, AR and Jeff (Shelly) Deck of Cedar Falls; six
grandchildren, Jaclyn Murr, Drew Deck, Ashley Burkes Deck, Cassidy Deck,
Josi Deck and Brittney Burkes Deck; a sister, Susie Millet of Hamilton, MO;
four brothers, Ben (Marilyn) Niedert of Davenport, IA, Steve (Sue) Niedert
and Joe (Mary) Niedert of Dubuque, IA. and Frank (Deb) Niedert of Evansdale.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; and a granddaughter, Sophie
Marie Murr.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at
Garden View Chapel in Waterloo with burial in the Garden of Memories
Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral
chapel.
