Zita R. Shock, 87, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home. She was born October 6, 1921 in Elma the daughter of Louis and Mary Falada Urban. She married William James Shock on June 30, 1947 in Lourdes; he preceded her in death on September 11, 1990.
Survived by: three sons, Gary (Becky) Shock of Waterloo, William T. “Billy” Shock of Waterloo, Frederick Shock of Tucson, AZ; four daughters, Mary Julianne (Michael) Sadler of Waterloo, Elizabeth M. “Betsy” (Brett) Smith of Daleville, AL, Jackie Shock of Waterloo, Rosaria M. “Rosie” (Wesley) Witherspoon of Hoschton, GA; two sisters, Leona Urban of Cresco and Theresa DuCharme of West Bend, WI; seventeen grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Thomas and Joseph Shock; two grandchildren; six brothers, Cletus, Joseph, Louis, Frank, Jim and Thomas Urban and four sisters, Helen Stejskal, Clara Stejskal, Ann Urban and Mary Urban.
Private Family Visitation was held with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
