Jane C. Leeper, 85, of Buffalo, Minnesota, formerly of Evansdale, died in Buffalo Thursday, August 20, 2009 of natural causes.

She was born June 14, 1924 in Waterloo, daughter of Walter Henry and Vivian Jane O'Connor Schmitt. She married Harry W. Leeper October 19, 1942 in Springfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1989.

Mrs. Leeper was employed as a cashier at Neal's Clothing for six years.

Survivors include three sons, Larry (Sharon) Leeper of Fayette, Duane (Lynette) Leeper of Hudson, and Bill (Sandy) Leeper of Buffalo, Minnesota; two daughters, Theresa Leeper of Buffalo, Minnesota, and Cathy Van Hoozer of Evansdale; nine grandchildren, Ted, Scott, Angie, Pam, Jeremy, Ashley, Tracy, Josh, and Justin; ten great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; one sister; and one grandson, Steve.

Services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, with a rosary at 4:00 P.M., and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
