| | | Darlyn “Darlyne” I. Slade, 79, of Waterloo died Tuesday morning, Sept 8, at Allen Memorial Hospital of complications of a heart condition.
She was born September 15, 1929 in Waterloo the daughter of Joseph Henry and Nina Mae Duke Blitsch. She married William “Bill” H. Slade on July 26, 1952 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1998.
Darlyn is survived by two sons; Allan (Diane) Slade of Waterloo, Mark (Elaine) Slade of Janesville, two daughters; Sandra (John) Hackett and Diane Slade-Jenkins both of Waterloo, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother; Robert and two sisters; Velma Kocempa and Dorothy Dunlevy.
Services will be 1:00P.M. Friday, Sept 11, at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery with burial in the cemetery.
Those who wish may direct memorials to the Lung Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
