Karen Sue Lamos

Karen Sue Baird Lamos 63, of Desert Hot Springs California formerly of La Porte City, passed away at home July 4Th. She had been in hospice for one week following radiation treatment for brain cancer. Karen was born to Marion Dale and Marjorie Ruth (Calkins) Baird February 16Th, 1946. She graduated from La Porte High School in 1964. After graduation, Karen and her mother moved to California. She graduated from Covina Beutician College and was a beautician for several years. Karen loved line dancing, and continued her line dancing classes through out all of the Chemo and radiation treatments until the last two weeks of her illness. Karen Married Philip Brock in 1969. They had two children, Lisa and David. They were divorced and later married John Lamos. They made their home at 69525 Dillon Road #129, Desert Hot Springs, Ca. 92241. Karen was preceded in Death by her Father. She is survived by her Husband John, her children Lisa Camerota of Rancho Cucamonga, David Brock of Dalton Georgia, her Mother Marjorie of Rancho Cucamonga, two sisters; Mrs Leroy (Betty) Lafler and Mrs Roger (Judy) Meyers both of Desert Hot Springs; two grandsons, one grand daughter, four step-grandsons, and three step grand daughters.
