| | | Robert G. Conway, 72, of Denver died Saturday, Sept 12, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home of natural causes.
He was born July 2, 1937 in Lorimor the son of Lynn and Arloa Edwards Conway. He married Charlyne Lininger on March 15, 1958 in Waterloo.
Robert graduated from West High School in 1956. He received a B.A. from I.S.T.C. (U.N.I.) in 1960. He taught Jr. High School in Pella and Oskaloosa and later was the Dallas Center High School Football Coach. He became principal at Dallas Center after receiving his M.S.E. from Drake University in 1967. After eleven years there, he moved to Parkersburg where he was High School Principal for five years. He became the English Valley Superintendent and after five years he moved to Denver. Bob was
Superintendent at Denver from 1984 until his retirement in 2002.
He was a member of the Denver Lions Club, the Yankee Pinstripe Faithful Club and St Peter Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters; Katie (Gary) Oelmann of Ackley, Traci (Gary) Bush of Wichita, KS., and Susan (Jerome) Jackson of N. Aurora, IL. 2 sisters; Jill Heiple of Waterloo, Sharon (Jerry) Roberts of Broken Arrow, OK., and one brother; Darrell (Susan) Conway of Fish Creek, WI., and 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His body was cremated.
