Helen Elizabeth Riggle, 89, of Dysart, died Monday, September 28, 2009 at Sunnycrest Nursing Home in Dysart. She was born March 2, 1920 in Kittson County, MN the daughter of Jusdon and Isabelle Thomas Roszell. She married LeRoy James Riggle on August 6, 1938 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua; he preceded her in death on September 24, 2008.
She worked at the Mental Health Institution in Independence.
Survived by: One son, Lyle (Dixie) Riggle of Independence; two daughters, Barbara (Glen) Larson of La Porte City, Betty (Gordie) Young of Brandon; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Roszell of Elk Run Heights, Nile (Mabel) Roszell of West Liberty; two sisters, Marilyn (Marvin) Ealy of MO and Clara (Francis) Levendusky of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: her parents; one son, LeRoy; five brothers, Boyd, Wayne, Lyle, John and Dale Roszell and two sisters, Mary Etta and Alice Mae in infancy.
There will be no services. Private Family Inurnment will take place in the West View Cemetery in La Porte City.
