| | | CRobert B. “Amos” Knapp, 83, of the Cedar Falls Health Care Center, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the center of natural causes.
He was born July 15, 1926 in Waterloo, son of Carl K. and Kathryn Bueter Knapp. He married Dona L. Childs March 8, 1952 in Nashua. She preceded him in death on April 5, 1996.
Mr. Knapp was employed at Waterloo Industries for 45 years.
Survivors include one son, Don (Brenda) Knapp of Evansdale; one daughter, Karen (Jim) Carroll of Elk Run Heights; one brother, Paul (Grace) Knapp of Shell Rock; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one brother, Forrest Knapp.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, October 15, at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
