| | | Joyce A. Lubben, 75, of La Porte City, died Monday, October 12, 2009 at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center due to multiple health conditions. She was born November 29, 1933 in Big Creek Township, rural La Porte City the daughter of Howard and Mary Hubbard. She was adopted by Wellwood and Ruth Williams.
She graduated from La Porte City High School in 1951and also graduated from Gates Business College. She worked as a Secretary for the Waverly Hospital. She also had worked as a nurse’s aide for the Williams Rest Home in La Porte City.
Survived by: her husband, Ronald of La Porte City; one son, Rick (Kris) Lubben of La Porte City; one daughter, Cindy (Brian) Wright of Jenison, MI and five grandchildren, Tyler, Andrea, Chas, Jaxon and Katie.
Preceded in death by: her parents and adoptive parents; six brothers, Leon, Ronald, Wayne, Keith, Leland and James Hubbard and one sister, Frances Buck.
Services: will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at La Porte City Funeral Service with burial in the Sawyer Cemetery, rural La Porte City. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. Friday and also one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Memorials: may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
