| | | Ruth B. Lund, 82, of La Porte City, died Sunday morning, March 6, 2011 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
She was born October 31, 1928 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Henry and Bernice Crittenden Utesch. She married Charles Lund on February 6, 1948 in Waterloo.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Robert (Peggy) Lund of La Porte City, and Tom Lund of Brandon; three daughters, Margie (James) Smith of Independence, Karen (Jerry) Lesh of Beaver Dam, WI and Janet (David) Harwood of Grimes; twelve grandchildren, Michelle (Brian) Stevens, Chad (Jill) Smith, Angela (John) Logan, Sheri Lund, Eric (Nicki) Lund, Mallori (Jonathan) Demildt, Dan Lund, Shawn (Leah) Lesh, Ryan Lund, Beth Lesh Sonya Harwood, and Ben Harwood; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth McKinley and Isabel Robinson.
Services will be 9:30 A.M. Saturday, March 12, at the Heartland Community Church with burial in the Brandon Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4 – 7 P.M. Friday. The casket will be closed on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church or the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
La Porte City Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
