Glen F. Sullivan, 80 of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center of natural causes.

He was born December 10, 1931 in Stacyville, the son of William and Ethel Swanson Sullivan. He married Mary Lou Klunder February 24, 1952 in Clarksville.

Mr. Sullivan was employed by Titus Manufacturing for 17 years. He then worked at Viking Pump Company for 20 years, retiring in 1996. Glen enjoyed camping and sports, especially the Cubs and Hawkeyes, and loved watching his grandchildren play various sports.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou of Waterloo; two sons, Ron (Carol) Sullivan of Waterloo, and Jeff (Andrea) Sullivan of Leawood, Kansas; three daughters, Pam Sullivan of Marion, Glenda (John) Greenwell of Ackley, and Michelle (Mike) Braughton of Marion; one brother, Robert (Fran) Sullivan of Decorah; two sisters, Hazel Gritzner of Waverly, and Connie Voeltz of Marion; nine grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Donald and Dorrance Sullivan.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian church. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball and one hour prior to the service at the church. The body will not be present; he was cremated. Private family inurnment will take place.

Memorials may be directed to the family or Care Initiatives Hospice.
