| | | Hilda M. Wilhite, 90, of Waterloo died Monday morning at Allen Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 18, 1921in Shamokin, PA the daughter of Warren and Clara A. Haas Maurer. She married Rev Kenneth E. Wilhite on September 16, 1944 in Shamokin, PA. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2007.
She is survived by three sons, Pastor Thomas (Lela) Wilhite of Los Angeles, CA., Timothy W. (Ruth) Wilhite of Rockford, IL, Laurence J. Wilhite of Fort Wayne, IN; four daughters, Jeannean A. (William) Kintner of Newark, CA., Judith L. (Alan) Schneider of Fort Wayne, IN, Susan J. (James) Bottorff of Portage, IN, Sally J. (Walter Pawowitz) Chamblee of Union; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Earl W. Maurer and one sister, Elaine Elmore.
Services will be Saturday, April 7, at 10:30 A.M. at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 – 8 P.M. Friday and an hour before services Saturday.
Those who wish may direct memorials to the Walnut Ridge Academy or Friendship Village Auxiliary.
