| | | Albert Lee Struttman, Sr. 79, Hume MO, passed away Mon., March 19, 2012 at Midland Hospice House. He was born Feb. 7, 1933 in Jefferson City MO, the son of Albert and Elizabeth Kolb Struttman. He graduated from St. Peter’s High School in 1952. Albert was united in marriage to Lucille Mary Heim, who preceded him in death. He served our country in the U.S. Army for two years. He was a cook in the Army and took that experience to manage the Walgreen Drugs Food Departments in Topeka and five states. He also managed the Little Duffer, Sierra Supper Club and Bert’s Café on K-4 Hwy. Albert retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in 1996. He spent the last 16 years of his life in Missouri. He was a member of the Rubber Workers Local 307, the American Legion and Missouri Big Buck Club.
Survivors include Albert’s children, Kevin Struttman (Kathy), Debi Fisher (Tom), Kimberly King (Gary), all of Topeka, Martin Struttman (Pam), Sainte Genevieve MO and Al Struttman, Jr. (Mary Jo), Topeka; siblings, Norma McKee, Betty Burd, Rosie Rost and Richard Struttman; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Struttman.
A rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Thurs. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614, with visitation to follow until 7 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Fri. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Topeka. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart-St. Joseph Parish
