Dr. Ronald Leo Tannehill, 75, of Topeka, passed away Thurs. April 5, 2012. Ron was born May 23, 1936 in Ocie MO to Tandy and Clema Tannehill. Ron married Jackie Webb Feb. 14, 1956. She survives. He served in the Kansas Air National Guard for 11 years, he attended Wichita State and Kansas State University, he was a police officer for the City of Hutchinson and City of Wichita, he most recently was an Assistant Professor and Graduate Program Director at Washburn University. Survivors include his wife Jackie, Topeka; son, Ted Tannehill, Topeka; daughter, Sherry Whistler (Randy), Topeka; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ron will lie in state 9-11 a.m., Mon. Funeral Service will follow at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614. Memorial contributions may be made to Cotton O’Neil Cancer Center sent in care of the funeral home.
