| | | James “Jay” Robert Byers, 48, of Boonville passed away July 29, 2012.
Jay was born May 1, 1964 in Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his father William “Bill” Byers.
Jay was united in marriage to Lisa Ann West on July 10, 1993.
He is the proud and loving father of Isabella Ann Byers.
Jay worked for the Extended Services Team at the Boonville Public Library.
He was an active member of the Main St. United Methodist Church of Boonville and was also a member of the Boonville Parks Board.
Jay treasured his family, friendships and community service above all else.
Jay is survived by his wife, Lisa and his daughter Isabella. He is also survived by his mother Ann, stepfather Alan Ahrens, stepmother Judy Byers, mother and father in law Mike and Pat West, brothers Phil Byers, Alex and Ash Ahrens and his wife Rachel, sisters Melinda Byers, Emily Ruebl and her husband Joshua and Meghan Hunsaker and her husband Nathan, brother in law Andy West and his wife Nyeda and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service 10am Saturday, Aug. 4 at Main Street United Methodist Church in Boonville. Friends may call Friday from 2-8pm and Sat. 9am until service time at Main Street United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions can be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, Warrick County Library Extended Services (Bookmobile) and the Warrick County Humane Society.
