Dutchie and my dad were such good friends for so long. My mom and I would like to express our sorrow at his passing. My memories of Dutchie go way back and they are all good ones. My sincerest condolences to Marian and Dutchie's family

Dear Marian and family,
I may not make it down from Houghton for the funeral, but I want you to know that we are thinking of you. As you know, Dutchie goes way back in our family. He was a good friend and to me he was the uncle I never had in this country. As the resident "pest," I would bring the Sunday paper to his place and have breakfast. Dutch saw us in our prom dresses and was at our weddings. I"m so glad that we happened to be at the hospital at the same time with my mom, which allowed me to say hi to Dutch one more time. Dearest Randy, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very sad time. Dutchie was a kind, gentle man. He was your second Dad and for that we will always be grateful that he was there for you.
Remember the good happy times you spent together. He would want you to be the happiest you can be. He continues to be with you and will always be with you. We love you and wish we could be there.
