|Randy Lee Paulson
Randy Lee Paulson, age 57, of Brighton MI, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 22, 2011.
Randy was born on September 21, 1954, in Sacramento, CA, the son of Kenneth C. and Virginia (Larson) Paulson. On August 1, 1998, he was married to Mary St.Arnaud. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth C. Paulson, in 1996 and his brother, Kenneth J. Paulson, in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Brett (Ashley) Paulson of Brighton; Jennifer (Edward) Rodenbo of Holly; Amy (Ed) Broxterman of Olathe, KS; granddaughters, Jasmine, Sydnei, Tessah, and Braelyn; mother, Virginia of Negaunee; sister, Connie (Walter) Scanlon of Negaunee; brother, Steve (Val) Paulson of Negaunee; mother-in-law, Helen St.Arnaud of Negaunee; brother-in-law, David St.Arnaud of Skandia; and sister-in-law Lynn (Scott) Bowman of Negaunee. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Randy was an avid Detroit Lions fan and faithfully attended all home games. He also loved golf, basketball, and baseball. Randy was a high school and college basketball referee for 29 years. He also coached several sports as his children were growing up. He was employed by United Rentals as a safety director. Randy was a member of St Patrickís Catholic Church in Brighton; the Capital Area Officials Association; and had been a member of the Negaunee Fire Department.
Randy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was loved by many people. He was a wonderful husband, father, Papa, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved life and lived it to its fullest.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 26, from 4-8 PM with a rosary service at 7 PM at Keehn Funeral Home in Brighton. A second visitation will be on Friday, October 28, from 4-8 PM with a parish prayer service at 7 PM at Koskey Funeral Home in Negaunee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church in Negaunee with Monsignor Peter Oberto officiating. Burial will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. Contributions in Mr. Paulsonís memory are suggested to the family for future designation.
