Dick and his wife, Betty (Lohse) purchased the funeral homes from Mrs.Stockdill on July 1, 1966 and changed the name to Kramer Funeral Home. In 1976 Dick and Betty added an addition north of the present chapel for a modern selection room.
To serve families better and to alow their son, Tom to return home to provide personal, caring service they expanded the firm to Sherburn, Minnesota in May of 1981. After graduating in May of 1981, Dick and Betty's son, Tom, joined them in the operation of their three funeral homes(Sherburn,Trimont and Welcome). The name was changed to Kramer Family Funeral Home. This represents a third generation in funeral service.
